Ben Stanfield diving in a clear spring over seagrass

Your instructor

Benjamin Stanfield

Chief Diving Officer & Owner · SDI/TDI/FRT Instructor Trainer #24982

Diving since 2011 and teaching since 2016, Ben splits his time between teaching and working as a recovery and public safety diver. He's a Navy combat veteran, a highly regarded sidemount instructor, and has appeared as a technical safety diver on the Discovery Channel.

His diving runs from the Cayman Islands and Cabo San Lucas to the caves of Florida, the mountain lakes of Appalachia and the Cooper River. Before teaching he worked as a deckhand, shop manager, boat operator, service technician, guide and gas blender.

He teaches everything from Discover Scuba to technical decompression and service technician instructor training, and he's especially good with anxious divers and experienced divers who want to polish their skills.
